Caroline's story

Having left the city in 1999 I decided to start The Good Cook Co. I had a background in catering for ski seasons, yachts, shooting lodges and private dinner parties.

I started the good Cook Company from home in 1999 shortly thereafter moving into offices and since then have never looked back. The first chef through the door was Marianne Lumb, who went on to be a runner-up in MasterChef 2009. From there, she owned and ran a very successful restaurant in Notting Hill and is frequently seen on Great British Menu. Over the years, I have had many chefs on MasterChef, and recently, Dan Lee won the prestigious title in 2021. I have placed chefs all around the world, from private islands in the Bahamas and the US to villas in the South of France, to fishing lodges in Scotland and everything in between. Whatever your need, I will be able to help.

The Chefs

With my chefs, it is like bringing the restaurant to you. My chefs will plan the menus and do all the sourcing and shopping, allowing you to sit back and enjoy letting them take over your kitchen and produce delicious meals without you having to go anywhere.

"Lucy was a huge success and an utter star and fitted in very easily in our rather cramped holiday cottage! She was incredibly organised and everything was always on time. She cooked delicious hearty family food from a very basic kitchen and her portion sizes were perfect. She made brilliant picnics up for lunch and never forgot to pack the corkscrew! There was always a naughty treat waiting for tea too! Lucy is incredibly capable and never needed any prompting, she even walked the dogs for us during the day. Lucy was great fun and very capable in every way, nothing seemed to phase her and I would thoroughly recommend her!"
