Cook needed for very remote lodge in Scotland so there is no going out to the shops to collect a pint of milk. This would be an ideal job for a couple or two friends as they can be up to 18 people. They would like a cooked breakfast with cereals, fruit ec and then lunch (picnic out on the hill or on the river) - everyone will make up their own baps, therefore ingredients need to be provided. Tea which will be a homemade cake and supper which will be 2 courses - roasts, shepherds pie, fish, curry - anything really but they don't want to paying for fillet of beef etc. and puddings. This will suit someone who loves scotland and is very organised.

You will work in a friendly, informal atmosphere, cooking healthy home cooked style food for the family, mostly informal, sometimes formal. They have a summer and winter season. The summer season is very hectic with many friends and relatives staying in the house, at this time of year we always employ extra seasonal help.

The winter involves mostly cooking for the family and occasionally friends, dinner parties and some winter pheasant shoots which are fairly formal, busy weekends with up to 16 people staying for 4/5 days. In the busy times they always employ extra help in the kitchen. They also employ a Housekeeper (full-time), a Handyman/Gardener (Full-time).

During quiet times in the house we ask you to fill up the freezers with home cooked pies, breads, soups, stews, cakes, puddings and produce from the veg garden.

You will have your own separate accommodation and all bills will be paid. This is a fantastic job for the right person - all cooks that work for this family love it.
